CutContour Path Settings
CutContour Settings Window
This is the setup window for CutContour paths, which allows you to define CutContour paths (also known as Digital Die Cut Paths) for the master page item. This information will be used later by a plotter to cut the individual item. A variety of predefined shape options are available, or you may use a PDF file containing a custom path for this master page. These paths will apply to all child pages of the master page item.
To open this window, double click the master page preview on the Layout Editor will open Master Page Properties window. Then clicking the button named ‘CutContour / Digital Die Cut Paths..’ on the Master Page Properties window.
Master Page Index : Displays the index number of the current master page being used for CutContour settings.
Shape : Select the shape of the CutContour path from the options: rectangle, rounded rectangle, or ellipse.
Rectangle : Creates a rectangular-shaped path on all selected path options.
Rounded Rectangle : Creates a rounded rectangle-shaped path with the specified corner radius on all selected path options.
Ellipse : Creates an ellipse-shaped path on all selected path options.
Corner Radius : Specifies the corner radius for a rounded rectangle CutContour path.
Line Thickness : Defines the stroke thickness of the CutContour path to adjust its visual appearance.
Dashed Line : Enable this option to create a dashed CutContour path instead of a solid line.
Color Selectors : Clicking the respective color swatch rectangles allows you to select the spot color swatch for the corresponding options.
Trim Area : Creates CutContour paths along the Trim Area using the assigned color swatch.
Bleed Boundaries : Creates CutContour paths along the Bleed Boundaries using the assigned color swatch.
Paper Edges : Creates CutContour paths along the Paper Edges using the assigned color swatch.
Custom Path : Enable this option to create CutContour paths based on custom-defined dimensions and the assigned color swatch.
Offset X / Y : Enables placing custom CutContour paths at user-defined positions.
Width / Height : Enables setting custom dimensions for CutContour paths.
Use PDF File : Allows you to place a PDF file containing predefined CutContour paths on top of the linked PDF page for the current master page.
Preview : Updates the layout preview with the current CutContour settings.
Note: To use CutContour paths, the layout must contain one or more attached spot color swatches. If not already done, please attach one or more color swatches using the color swatch library before attempting to add a CutContour path.
